Thomson Micromedex/Sapphire Technologies, Contractor (3 months)
* Upgrade of drug lookup interface to new technology; new API in C# replaces C++, Java versions, backwards-compatible to COM/ActiveX to support legacy VB6 users. Object model redesigned to deliver best-in-class modern interface for .NET users while supporting existing COM/CORBA model for existing users.

Bank of America Securities/Sapphire Technologies, Contractor (12 months)
* Migration of legacy equity derivatives desktop trading application. New application was written entirely in C#.NET using Microsoft SQL Server for new functions. Completely integrated with legacy systems running Sybase, MFC/ATL/STL C++, Tibco RV, TCP/IP multicast with C++ and Perl services running on Linux and Solaris including CA Autosys. Required heavy reliance on .NET typed datasets, XML with serialization, XSLT, reflection framework, C# Windows services, multi-threading including system thread pool, XML web services and interoperation with legacy (Perl and Java) SOAP web services.

Elite Bicycles, (May 2004 start)
* Responsible for build/buy decisions and management of development projects or external vendors.
* Hosted server runs Linux, with PHP and MySQL (LAMP). Extensive HTML and CSS (no tables) design.
* Administered web operations including role as liason to hosting provider as a consultant. Managed quotas, statistics and content systems; also provided technical support for several on-site computers.

Moody?s Investors Service/Sapphire Technologies, (10 months)
* Acted as lead developer for feature enhancements to moodys.com and the Ratings Interactive product that delivers fixed income ratings; development was ASP, VB, C#. Database platform was mixed Sybase ASE and MS SQL Server. 
* Designed and built a reporting tool for the moodys.com public web site. System was built around MS SQL Server Reporting Services in C#.NET, using Web services and forms with XML.

Mattlin Mandell, Inc., (21 months contract to permanent)
* Web site development: PHP, Perl, XML, MySQL; ASP, C#, VBScript, SQL Server 2000; HTML, CSS.
* Heavy use of PHP/MySQL and ASP/SQL Server architectures across mixed networks. Administered IIS, Apache, sendmail, PPTP and L2TP VPNs, Active Directory, 4 DNS servers, Samba and WiFi networks.
* Extensive ETL to convert data between SQL Server and MySQL in real time with replication for load balancing.

* Managed projects required to close HP?s involvement in redesign of Bear Stearns? public web site, as a consultant.
